Can foreign nationals open a GoTyme Bank account at a kiosk or on-ground location?

At this time, foreign nationals can only open a GoTyme Bank account through the GoTyme Bank mobile app. On-ground kiosks located in partner retail stores and malls are currently available only for Filipino citizens using Philippine government-issued IDs.

This ensures a smoother verification process since kiosk systems are linked to local ID databases and are optimized for Filipino ID formats. Foreign national verification, on the other hand, requires additional document review and cross-checking with Bureau of Immigration records — processes that can only be handled through the app's digital verification workflow.

Tip: Foreign nationals who wish to open a GoTyme Bank account should prepare their valid accepted ID before downloading the app and make sure it is ready for upload when prompted.

Accepted IDs include:

  • Passport
  • Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) I-Card — including Probationary Resident (light purple) and Voluntary Registrant (red) variants
  • Diplomat/Officer Identification Card
  • 9(g) Worker ACR Extension Letter (supporting document for expired Worker ACR)

GoTyme Bank is exploring ways to expand its kiosk and on-ground onboarding systems to support foreign national applications in the future. Updates will be announced through official GoTyme Bank communication channels once this becomes available.
